NABU Channels
NABU programs are .nabu files (also called NABU Channels) that run directly on the NABU Personal Computer. When the NABU powers on, its built-in native ROM bootloader requests a program from the network — the very same mechanism the original NABU Network used to deliver its Main Menu back in the 1980s.
Because the bootloader runs before anything else, these programs are completely self-contained. They do not require CP/M, a disk, or any other operating system — the ROM hands control straight to the program once it has been loaded into memory. This is why each title here is its own "channel": pick one, and that is what your NABU becomes until you reboot.
To play any of these, choose the program you want from the NABU Channels list on the left side of the Internet Adapter. Power-cycle the NABU and the bootloader will pull the selected channel down over the wire, just like 1984.
